EK Engineers is a Sydney based structural engineering firm founded with the intention of providing a bespoke and personal service to builders, architects and developers. Our best for project collaborative approach ensures we work with the goals of the end client at the forefront.
The practice provides professional engineering services across all building sectors, from early feasibility and concept design through detailed documentation and construction support services.
Every commission is led personally by the company principals, giving clients direct access to industry leading expertise, continuity of service and timely technical decisions. Solutions are developed with consideration of architectural intent, buildability, programme, cost, compliance and long-term performance.

Our Principal
Richard Khoury
Principal · B.E. Civil (Structures) · CPEng NER
Richard is a structural engineer with 14 years of experience across mid to high rise residential, retail, infrastructure, and education and science buildings.
With a strong technical background and a clear understanding of client needs, he has an ability to deliver best-for-project solutions. He has delivered large scale projects firsthand through all stages of the project life cycle — from concept and detailed design through to construction.
Prior to founding EK Engineers in 2026, Richard held senior roles at Robert Bird Group (2021-2026) and ABC Consultants (2016-2021), leading design teams on some of Sydney’s more demanding residential and infrastructure projects.
